Boone County is home to fertile soil, hardwood forests, flowing streams, and natural habitat for a variety of wildlife. At BCCDKY, we work to protect these natural resources for the health of our civic and natural communities for generations to come. As a resource to landowners, farmers, educators, businesses, and community groups, we provide financial and technical assistance to maintain and improve the quality and productivity of our environmental surroundings.
The mission of the Boone County Conservation District is to conserve and promote the best use of the natural resources of the county by encouraging the use of Best Management Practices, district involvement with land use policy decisions, public awareness and education.
