My passion is to help families with organizing & evaluating the resources God has entrusted to their care; outlining their long term ownership objectives; developing a plan for achieving their objectives; and implementing the plan over their lifetimes.
Education:
BS Forest Management from Clemson University
MBA from The Citadel
Experience:
NIPF Forester 1984 to 1990
Harvesting Research Forester 1990-1993
BMP & OSHA Compliance Forester 1993-1995
Wood Procurement Staff Forester 1996 to 2002
Financial & Investment Advisor 2002 to present
Success story:
My most recent Forestry projects have been with owners of small tracts (20 to 40 acres) whose ownership objectives range from wildlife habitat / aesthetics to long=term financial return but with raising future crops of timber being secondary or lower on their priority lists. Most of my work these days is with investment portfolios of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and rental properties but I still love Forest Management projects of all shapes & sizes!
