Success story:
Working with a private owner to salvage fire-damaged loblolly pine then assisting to secure cost shares for site preparation and regeneration to longleaf pine. The process required a management plan, securing contractors, working with agency personnel on cost sharing, scheduling and oversight of contractors. This is not atypical but is rewarding to see the bloom of interest that occurs as the landowner engages in the process of turning a disaster into a success.
