With over three decades of experience, Bill is active in the legal practice areas of Business, Energy & Environmental, Financial Services, Real Estate and Securities. However, his specialty lies in providing sage guidance where these different practice areas intersect. In his practice, Bill has represented a vast array of commercial interests, from Fortune 100 companies to small and mid-sized businesses. He provides counsel to clients in a wide range of legal matters including real estate, development, business, commercial, telecommunications, environmental, solar development, cannabis and legislative affairs.
Through Bill’s Real Estate practice, he represents his clients in a wide array of matters including land acquisition, development, financing, construction, leasing and sale, issuance of commercial loans, workouts and foreclosures. He counsels builders and contractors regarding construction disputes, lien claims and general construction matters; he creates and administers residential and commercial condominiums and other common interest ownership developments.
In many situations, Real Estate matters overlap Energy & Environmental issues and vice versa. In addition to his general Real Estate practice, he has extensive experience in land use, zoning, permitting, entitlements, environmental issues impacting development and agricultural preservation easements. He frequently advises solar companies and landowners in land use and permitting issues, structuring and negotiating options, leases, ownership and construction arrangements for the development and implementation of new solar generating facilities throughout the region. He guides clients through the labyrinth of where land use, environmental, energy and real estate requirements impact upon a project.
