The park is home to many plants and animals, and the tallest mountain on the U.S. Atlantic coast. Today visitors come to Acadia to hike granite peaks, bike historic carriage roads, or relax and enjoy the scenery.
The entrance fee is $20 per private vehicle or $5 per person with no car, May - October except for National Park Service Birthday on August 25 and September 28 for National Public Lands Day, which are free.
