About Ada SWCD
As a governmental subdivision of the state of Idaho, Ada Soil & Water Conservation District has been leading non-regulatory efforts to conserve, sustain, and enhance natural resources in Ada County since 1948. Ada SWCD is a local leader here to provide technical, financial, and educational assistance to private landowners and our community partners.
Our Mission
Ada Soil & Water Conservation District cooperates with Federal, State, Local, and Private organizations to promote the conservation and wise use of all natural resources and to provide conservation education for Ada County residents.
Our Vision
Traditionally Ada SWCD conservation partners have been farm and ranch operators. Today, the customer base is expanding. Ada SWCD is developing new partnerships with other groups and organizations interested in promoting the wise use of natural resource planning and conservation in Ada County.
