Mr. Axton has been a real property appraiser concentrating in investment real estate in the Greeley area since 1991. At that time he joined the widely renowned Robert J. Mitchell, MAI and has continued Mr. Mitchell’s long tradition of high quality standards and service. After purchasing the company in 1995 as Mitchell, Axton & McCarty, Inc., Mr. Axton formed his current company, Axton Realty Consulting, Inc. in 1999.   In total Mr. Axton has been involved with appraisal of real estate since 1985.

Concentrating in investment property, specifically commercial, industrial, farms and ranches and development or subdivision land the firm focuses on complex consulting and appraisal assignments, often tied to litigation. Much of Mr. Axton’s experience lies in the area of eminent domain, consulting with and providing expert witness testimony for both land owners and condemning authorities. Mr. Axton holds a Bachelors in Economics plus five years of intensive training through the Appraisal Institute and American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. He continually enrolls in education and seminars to keep up with a dynamic industry. The firm maintains active, up to date data bases on a variety of property types in order to track current and historic market activity.
