Dr. Alix Buffing grew up in Western Oklahoma where her family raises beef cattle and her favorite hobby was showing horses. She attended Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine with the vision of specifically working on equine; until she fell in love with the small animal side of veterinary medicine. The way people include their smaller pets as part of their family made the attachment to this medicine very easy. She graduated from OSU in the Spring of 2017 with the determination to one day open her own small animal veterinary clinic. Hill Country Veterinary Hospital opened its doors in September of 2020 and so began her journey of now being the “boss”.
