County Foresters provide technical assistance to forest landowners who work to implement sustainable forestry principles on their lands. County Foresters also assist with community forest designation, disease/pest issues, tree identification, city/county ordinance information, and tree advice, such as pruning, removal and fertilization. Additionally, County Foresters can provide a list of urban forestry consultants, landscape businesses, tree removal businesses, material/equipment vendors and upcoming educational workshops. Landowners with at least 10 forested acres can receive current timber market information, federal cost-share program information, area burning regulations, a prescribed fire management plan, a forest management plan, a forest consultant list, a tree planting contractor list, a master logger list and best management practices.
