Arnold Mammarella, Architecture + Consulting is an East Bay based practice serving cities and private clients in the Bay Area. Each project benefits from applying a broad understanding of architecture and urban design gained over a twenty-five year career focused mostly on residential architecture, housing design, neighborhood planning, and consulting. Unique to this practice is the diversity of ideas acquired doing peer review on the design of over three thousand projects by hundreds of architects.

Whether designing a residence, planning a neighborhood, or consulting with a City on a large housing project, the goal of the work remains constant: Thoughtfully working towards solutions that better people’s lives and enhance communities.

Architecture is also a collaborative art and this dimension is warmly embraced. Carefully listening to a client’s hopes and needs not only builds a better working relationship, but also spurs creativity and leads to more memorable architecture.

While a project may have modern or traditional stylistic roots based on the client’s preferences, the overall design approach is a holistic response to environmental, aesthetic, and place-making concerns.
