For 20 years, Auerbach Engineering Corporation (AEC) has been a leading consulting firm providing Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, and Environmental Planning services to clients throughout the northern Sierra Nevada region. In 1998, Walter R. Auerbach, PE, started AEC with just two other colleagues. After experiencing rapid initial growth, Walter purchased Hale-Tippin, a leading engineering and surveying firm that worked on prominent projects in Tahoe City and North Lake Tahoe. The company quickly expanded and was contracted for the surveying and engineering of the development at Northstar, the Village at Squaw Valley, the Lakeside Trail, the Commons Beach Development, and more. We attribute our success to the effective congruence of our Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, and Environmental Planning departments. AEC also puts high value in hiring the right individuals who love the Tahoe region and are dedicated to serving the community. Our ability to provide expert care to each project is a result of learning that growth needs to be deliberate, which enables us to balance our public and private work effectively.
