The Sandhills of North Eastern Colorado are the home to some giant mule deer. In North-eastern Colorado there are good numbers of mules that feed on the irrigated corn with little pressure, making good conditions to grow big! These corn feed deer can grow up to 200 no problem in these parts. In 2012 Muzzle loader season I peronally killed a Mule Deer scoring 201. All deer hunting is by draw only in Unit (93,97,98,100,102). This is where the deer hunting takes place and all on private land.
