Garden Valley was established in 1852 and was named for the fact that it sold produce to the miners.
Tradition continued here at Berry Heaven. Dr. Boone and Jean Mora planted the original blueberry/blackberry patch. Started the Goji berries from seeds. In 2011 Dean & Terrie Cook took over and Berry Heaven was born. Giving life to the U-PICK farm open to the public with Blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. Unlike other West Coast varieties Berry Heaven has the East Coast rabbit eye blueberries. Harvest begins in late May continuing thru September and into October. Thornless blackberries start sweetening and are ready for picking in August. Also in 2011 Dean and Terrie planted a large garden to supply neighbors near and far with fresh grown herbs and vegetables. 17 Laying Chickens provide farm fresh eggs. Coming soon goat milk from our beautiful Nigerian dwarf goats Bootsie and Miss Pickles. Celebration Venue added 2012
