Big Woods Fish & Game Preserve is a beautiful, private refuge that provides a unique, year-round fishing and seasonal hunting experience. It was designed in 1989 and constructed to be more than the average fishing and hunting club. The fish population in our lakes is many times greater than what occurs naturally. The abundance of fish, as well as greater numbers of larger fish, is possible by carefully managing water and having periodic feeding programs. This enables a sportsman to expect exciting action-filled trips on each visit to Big Woods. Our lakes are stocked with a variety of fish species including Florida Largemouth Bass, Black River Bass, Bluegill, Redear Sunfish, Threadfin Shad, Gizzard Shad, Fathead Minnows, and Golden Shiners. Each species serves a purpose in the overall eco-chain as well as being a food source for our bass. The preserve consists of roughly 100 acres of fishing waters along with 3,000 acres of habitat that support an abundance of game. Members at Big Woods Fish & Game Preserve experience world class fishing and a variety of seasonal hunting.
