Success story:
I wrote a forest management plan for a landowner in 1993 (I was only doing forest consulting part time then) that was good for ten years. He had lost track of time and had other personal set backs. He called me about 18 years later and needed a new plan since so much time had lapsed. I wrote an new plan for him, which also helpled keep his property taxes low. He had also said a logger wanted to cut his trees an offered $10,000 for the whole 100 forested acres. I looked it over and told him that he had some trees to sell, as also stated in the plan, but many trees were still small and that I could manage the sale for him and make sure only the trees that needed to be removed were taken. I tally\ied and marked the trees as well as handled the logging contract. When the bids came back, the top bid was $87,800. I did the inspections and the logger did a very good job and the landowner got his property taxes reduce, maximum amount for his timber, and a decent job.
