His expertise in appraisal and valuation science has taken him literally from the top of North America to the bottom of South America – from Alaska’s North Slope to Terra del Fuego at the bottom of Argentina and Chile. Among the many distinguishing features of Dr. Mundy’s multi-faceted career is his extensive experience as an expert witness in civil actions and litigation cases. He has testified in court in many western states, and in the Midwest and the South. Dr. Mundy is an authority on the evidentiary rules for real estate experts.
Besides eminent domain and large corporate bankruptcies, he has achieved national prominence in the U.S. as an appraiser and valuation analyst of environmentally impaired and contaminated properties that are the subject of litigation actions. In addition, he is nationally known for his pioneering work with the appraisal of trophy properties, conservation and preservation lands, and Ranch Preservation Communities. In addition to the appraisal of real estate, Dr. Mundy has made significant contributions to market and survey research, feasibility studies and economic base analyses.
