Raising our children on land that has fed our our community and our ancestors for many generations. We carefully put green things in the ground, treat green things with love, water, and sunshine, pull up green things that crowd our green things, try to keep critters from eating our green things, try to keep green things from turning brown, stand with hands on hips to survey our green things., pick very colorful and nutritious food things from green things for us to eat and preserve, make very colorful and nutritious food things available to our neighbors, wipe sweat from my brow, because this is Alabama, and it's hot here. We feed and care for the livestock, doing our best to make sure all their days are good ones.
