Comments: Located in Lake County, Central Florida south of Ocala National Forest and within the Wekiva River Basin, the bank occupies a key landscape position in the regional ecosystem. Mitigation activities will enhance the ecological condition in the Blackwater Creek region of the Wekiva-Ocala Connector. The results will be a dynamic, self-sustaining ecosystem of freshwater marshes, lakes and freshwater mixed forested wetlands that will integrate neatly into the landscape mosaic of the Lake Norris Conservation Area (LNCA). The functional assessment method used is UMAM.
