The Broome County Soil & Water Conservation District was formed on July 11, 1944 and provides information and technical assistance to municipalities & landowners.
Through partnerships the District promotes a cooperative approach to natural resource issues.
Among the Districts' programs and services are: Water Quality and Conservation, Nonpoint Source Pollution Control, Erosion and Sediment Control, Drainage Assessments, Technical Assistance of Flooding Issues, Stormwater Management, Pond Assistance, Environmental Education & Planning, Nutrient Management, Grazing, Watershed Management, Agricultural Value Assessments, Hydroseeding, No-Till Drill Rental, Fish Stocking, and Tree & Shrub Seedling Program.
