Caddo Parish is located in the northwest corner of Louisiana and has a unique history reflecting its beginnings as “the gateway to the West." Caddo Parish found renewed prosperity with the Oil Boom of the early 1900’s. Today, the focus of Caddo Parish is the establishment of a strong economy based on the attraction of expanding commercial and industrial entities. Shreveport is also a great tourist destination. Attractions include: Mardi Gras, the Red River Revel Arts festival, the State Fair.
