The Calcasieu Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) consists of Beauregard and Vernon parishes, whose land area totals 1,611,930 acres.  The District was organized May 12, 1939 under The Louisiana conservation Act N. 370 of 1938.  The District is governed by a 5 member volunteer Board of Supervisors.  3 members are elected and 2 members are appointed.

The Board meets the third Wednesday of each month at 10:00 a.m.  The meetings are open to the public and interested parties are encouraged to attend.  The district office is located at 205 N. 5th Street, in Leesville, Louisiana.
