The Calhoun County Groundwater Conservation District was created in 2011 by the passage of Senate Bill 1290 during the 82nd regular session of the Texas Legislature.  The Texas Legislature modified the enabling legislation of the District with the passage of Senate Bill 1835 in the 83rd regular session
