In 2020, affiliates of Lyme acquired the Call Junction property in southeastern Texas, in the Lower Sabine watershed. Historically managed for cattle grazing, hay production, and timber production, the property features 40 acres of loblolly pine plantation and 202 acres of pastureland. Given the elevation, topography, and historic development patterns, new development activity in the Lower Sabine watershed is likely to impact streams and wetlands and require mitigation. Our mitigation project includes the cessation of agricultural operations, the restoration of wetlands and riparian habitat, and the restoration of streams to increase sinuosity and connectivity with the flood plain.
