Canoochee Sandhills WMA is located in Bulloch and Bryan Counties near Groveland, GA. This 6,324-acre WMA consists of a mix of sandhill, flatwoods, bay swamp, and floodplain forests that border Lotts Creek. Many of the sandy uplands on the area are remnants of ancient wind-blown river dune formations and provide important habitat for gopher tortoises and other animal and plant species considered high priorities for conservation. This WMA offers hunting opportunities for deer, turkey and small game, as well as opportunities for blackwater creek fishing and viewing many protected wildlife species that use the diverse habitats on this property.
