Cardinal Ridge Farm, LLC is a family-owned small business. We sell fresh pecans to the public in-shell, shelled, or cracked. We have naturally organic pecans, i.e., no spray or fertilizer has been applied in the last twenty five years, as well as pecans grown per the UGA recommended cycle of irrigation and sprays. As part of our sustainability efforts we have begun to sell pecan residue from our cracking and shelling operations as well as pecan wood/chips for firepits and BBQs. We are open to the public for pecan cracking and shelling. Pecans must be clean, i.e., no rocks, sticks, etc. If not clean we can run through our cleaner for 20 cents per pound before processing or 25 cents per pound if you simply need the pecans cleaned. We can process however you desire. Many folks simply want their pecans cracked which is 50 cents per pound. Some bring pecans cracked from harvesting so only want them shelled which is 50 cents per pound. Most want the pecans cracked and shelled which is 70 cents per pound (we discount both operations). We custom bag pecans for $1.85 per pound (freezer bag or heat sealed). We support any size requirement, e.g., we have supported customers with as little as two pounds to customers with over a 1,000 pounds. Regardless of quantity we use a first in, first out workflow to ensure rapid turn-around time for our customers. We support individuals, small farmers, and have the capacity for commercial overflow. We have high speed crackers which crack 400 nuts per minute as well as the classic Myers and Champion mechanical crackers which crack 80 and 60 nuts per minute respectively. We also have a high speed sheller system. Combined, these machines set us apart from any public processor in Middle Georgia. Our reputation is growing as we support customers from the Albany, Lake Oconee, Dublin, Yatesville, and Junction City areas. NOTE: Google Maps works but other GPS are wrong. Turn at Mile Marker 7 on Highway 49 between Fort Valley and Byron. The turn is across the highway from Freddie's used cars. Mossy Creek Bridge is at Mile Marker 7. Key landmarks.
