Our farm is located approximately 30 miles northwest of downtown Houston. We have approximately 8 acres of a mixture of Rabbiteye and Southern Highbush Blueberries. We have 7 different varieties of blueberries mixed over the farm. Some of the blueberries ripen early in the season, some mid season and some late in the season. The blueberries start ripening late in May and continue for about 6 weeks (possibly 1 to 2 weeks into July if it doesn’t get to hot and dry).
The farm is strictly “Pick Your Own”. We open up the farm for people to come out and hand pick their own delicious blueberries. There are many serious pickers who come out to the farm several times during the season and pick enough blueberries so that they can last for the whole year. Blueberries freeze very well and can last frozen for up to 2 years.
