Chris Adams, founder and president of Vision Forestry, has more than 20 years of experience managing forests within the Southeastern U.S. In 1999 he graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Science in Forest Management. After graduation, Chris found the world of consulting forestry working as a dirt forester for a firm in southeast Texas and later as the managing forester of a firm working with landowners throughout Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana. Adams has been directly involved in the management of more than 200,000 acres of forestland, maintains an in-depth understanding of forest markets, and is unique to the forest industry due to his background in both rural lending and timberland appraisals.
He is very involved in the Texas Forestry Association, American Tree System and the Association of Consulting Foresters. Has held many positions within each of the associations. Chris is a founding council member of the Texas Accredited Foresters Council having served as its Chairman.
