Growing up in rural Missouri and then in northwest Texas, we always had a wide variety of pets on our small hobby farm. As a child, I was blessed to care for my 2 chocolate labs, many cats, rabbits, horses, parakeets, chickens, swine, and more. Coupled with a love for learning, I participated in 4-H and FFA programs which allowed me to explore careers in agriculture and ultimately guided me to become a veterinarian. I moved to Louisiana after graduating high school to attend LSU and have been in love with this state ever since! I knew as soon as I stepped into Gill Bright Animal Hospital that there was no place I would rather work. The staff here excels in every aspect and is constantly striving to provide the highest quality of care for your pets. I am honored to be a part of this compassionate and hardworking team serving the people of SWLA. I am especially passionate about feline medicine and am a Fear Free certified professional. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, home improvement, and baking. I also love spending time with my Australian shepherd, Tarzan, and two cats, John and Turk!
