The Cubihatcha Outdoor Center is operated by the Henry Co Water Authority and used to spread knowledge of wildlife and nature conservation to the area.
Several years ago local business and community leaders were searching for an outreach program for the public to enjoy. By looking at what numerous other surrounding counties where doing to partner with education, the ideas of what potential and positive impacts that the Henry County Water Authority property had for an outdoor education center came about. Between being situated between three of the county’s reservoirs and the breath taking landscapes that surround the facility, it’s the perfect spot. With our skilled, passionate & trained naturalist, we are always excited to share our knowledge and help out any way we can. The youth of the county and surrounding areas are very important to us here at Cubihatcha. It is an honor to have a chance to take a child and have him/her get excited and more interested in nature and for them to have up close encounters of nature on even given day in Henry County.
