Southern Natural Resources, Inc. is my forestry consulting company and was founded in 1995. My goal was to assist landowners with all aspects of timber management from site preparation, reforestation, plantation thinning, to final harvest and all management activities in between. Some of these other activities include GPS stand mapping, locating, flagging and mapping property lines. I am not a surveyor however but I could assist in finding a good surveyor if the need arises. Anything I don't do myself I can line up dependable contractors to get the work done.
Education:

Experience:
I have worked in forestry my entire adult life. I have experience as a Timber buyer for a sawmill and I founded my forestry consulting company, Southern Natural Resources, Inc. in 1995 because I wanted to shift my forestry career from timber procurement to Forest Management. I have prepared management plans, conducted timber appraisals, and timber sales for private landowners. I have experience in storm damage assessments of timber value. My experience also includes timber trespass evaluations and I have testified in court as an expert witness for private landowners. I have conducted prescribed burns for private landowners and companies on over 75,000 acres in MS and AL. I assist landowners with site preparation and reforestation of their cutover timberland. I have also conducted timber appraisals for utility companies, state and local governments. I am also a Mississippi Real Estate Broker and founding partner with B and A Real Estate, Inc. We specialize in marketing timberland and recreational properties. Whatever your forestry and timberlands needs are, we can help you get it done.
Success story:
I have helped several landowners get better prices for their timber. One landowner in particular had been offered $60,000 for their timber. I talked them into letting me handle the sale and it brought $ 131,000. The landowner was glad to pay my commission.
