The purpose of Texas AgriLife Extension Service in Dimmit County is to educate residents in agriculture, environmental stewardship, family and consumer sciences, health, youth and adult life skills, leadership and community economic development.
We educate residents on improving their health, safety, productivity, and well-being; improving environmental stewardship and natural resources; contributing to their economic security and prosperity; making residents responsible, productive, and self-motivated youth and adults.
Dimmit County Extension educational programs are open to all people without regard to race, color, sex, disability, religion, age, or national origin. We work with other Extension offices through the Texas A&M University System, the United States Department of Agriculture, and the County Commissioners’ Courts.
