Dunn's Falls Water Park is a public recreational area located on the Chunky River. Activities at the 69-acre Water Park center around an antebellum grist mill and waterwheel constructed in 1859. During spring and summer look for songbirds such as bluebirds, red-eyed vireos, Acadian flycatchers, kingfishers, brown thrashers, yellow-billed cuckoos, and a variety of hawks and owls. This park features a 65-foot water fall created in the mid 1850's by Irish immigrant John Dunn. The waterfall not only provides pristine beauty, but also provides the force needed to turn the iconic water wheel. The curious and nature lovers alike are drawn to this peaceful, idyllic spot.
