Agriculture & Natural Resources
Feeder calf and timber dominate agricultural production in East Feliciana Parish. Programs delivered to clientele include beef/forage field days, forestry forums, forestry and wildlife field days and pesticide trainings. Private pesticide applicators were trained in worker protection methods and learned techniques to minimize spray drift. A class was offered for non– cardholders to help prepare them for certification test. Home visits and personal interaction are the primary modes of delivering information.
