The Eastern Madera County Fire Safe Council Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed for the purposes of promoting fire and life safety preparedness through education, outreach and implementation in and around Eastern Madera County California.
The Eastern Madera County Fire Safe Council (FSC) was established in 1997 by volunteers devoted to developing and implementing programs to protect area residents and property from wildfire.
Many projects were completed under funding provided by National Fire Plan grants from the Bureau of Land Management through the California Fire Safe Council and the Sacramento Regional Foundation.
Today the Madera FSC continues its work through grants from the US Forest Service and other public agencies.
