Dr. Alexander enjoys helping people through sharing her love of medicine and animals. Dr. Alexander grew up in Devine and graduated in 1993 from Texas A&M with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science. After graduation, she worked at San Antonio Livestock & Rodeo. She was responsible for compiling show results, writing press releases, and coordinating college interns. After a year in San Antonio, Dr. Alexander returned to Texas A&M and went on to receive her teaching certificate. She taught 8th grade science at Spring Branch Middle School in Houston. After three years of teaching, her love of animals and fascination with medicine could not be denied. Her journey continued from teaching to becoming a veterinary receptionist and then a technician, which served as a great training for her lifelong career choice as a veterinarian.

She graduated from Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005 and went on to practice in a mixed animal veterinary hospital in Fayetteville, NC. Like all true Texans, Dr. Alexander found her way back to Texas in 2006 and has not left since.
