Guy K. Ames has a BA from Texas A&M, Commerce; MS in horticulture (fruit crops and pest control in fruit crops) from University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Guy has operated Ames Orchard & Nursery, producing both fruit and fruit plants adapted to Ozark conditions, since 1983.  He is the author of numerous fruit publications, most of which are free at www.attra.ncat.org.  

We want to empower you to grow your own fruit. We think that if “local is best,” then your backyard is the very best.

When it comes to fruit, you need the right varieties that are suited for the challenging conditions of the Ozarks, and we have them! In addition to our focus on raising and offering plants suited to the Ozark region, we also offer fruit and eggs at the Fayetteville Farmer’s Market and through special order.
