Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Gabriella Stockmayer completed her undergraduate work at Cornell University. Following several years teaching outdoor education, she moved to Boulder to pursue a career in law. She received her law degree from the University of Colorado Law School in 2011, in conjunction with a Master’s degree from the university’s Environmental Studies program. During her graduate studies, Gabriella focused on environmental and natural resources issues, obtaining an internship at the Colorado Attorney General’s Office in the Natural Resources and Environment Section, and a clerkship with Xcel Energy’s Office of General Counsel.
Following law school, Gabriella clerked for the Honorable Daniel M. Taubman of the Colorado Court of Appeals. Working with Judge Taubman she developed a broader interest in criminal matters, civil litigation, and appeals.
As a member of the Thompson G. Marsh American Inn of Court, Gabriella strives for excellence in professional responsibility. She is actively involved in the Boulder legal community through its local bar associations, including serving currently as Co-Chair of the Natural Resources and Environmental Law Section of the Boulder County Bar Association and as Co-Chair for the Young Lawyers Division of the Boulder Bar 2013-2014. She performs pro bono work with Boulder County Legal Services and through the Colorado Bar.
Gabriella joined Dietze and Davis as an associate at the start of 2013. Her practice includes energy and utility law, water law, environmental law and general litigation.
