he Gardenia Garden Club was established May 4,1938 by six Atlanta ladies seeking something worthwhile to serve their homes and communities. The object of the club was "To stimulate among amateurs the knowledge and love of gardening, the study and culture of flowers, landscape gardening, protection of native trees, plants, birds, and the encouragement of civic planting and artistic endeavor.
