The Park Pavilion is a large, covered picnic area which overlooks the Gulf. This is another great place to look for seabirds, particularly in winter. Northern Gannet is common off shore during migration. Any flock of loons should be carefully studied for Red-throated and Pacific. Gulf State Park has over 3.5 miles of beaches available in both Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama. The beach area in Gulf Shores (main park area) can be accessed from the Gulf State Park Pavilion area. Plovers and peeps, shorebirds and waders may be observed feeding and roosting.
Amenities include tables and benches, restrooms and water fountains. The pavilion closes at sunset.
