High Mountain Nursery produces plants from identified seed sources. These seeds have genetic traits that help the plants adapt to specific geographic locations. Genetic traits are influenced by elevation, precipitation, soil conditions, andtemperatures. Each location has a unique environmental feature that affects the plant's ability to grow in that area.
High Mountain Nursery provides special growing services for customers. A customer may collect seeds from an area and request the nursery to grow a specific number of plants. Following a two-year growing cycle, the customer then may purchase the plants needed. This promotes effective management of supply and labor resources.
High Mountain Nursery produces both container and bareroot seedlings so that customers can plan projects to meet the planting site goals.
