Oversees forest operations in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, New York and Pennsylvania Plays a key role in sourcing and analyzing acquisition opportunities Hayes is based in Mobile, Alabama and is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of clients’ timberlands in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, New York and Pennsylvania. His work entails developing and implementing property-level management plans; overseeing regeneration, harvesting and silvicultural activities; negotiating timber sales; and, managing compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations. He also is involved in sourcing acquisition opportunities and managing TIR’s small tract land sales program. Prior to his current assignment Hayes served as an acquisitions forester for TIR and played an integral role in the investment sourcing and analysis process by developing tools and approaches designed to make the firm’s portfolio development efforts more robust.
