Jesse is a licensed forester in both Maine and New Hampshire and is the owner/operator of Northwest Forest Management.

Jesse graduated from the University of Maine at Orono in 2007 with a BS in Forest Operations Science. Directly out of school he worked on a summer marking crew in the Adirondacks, until accepting a job with a consulting forestry firm in southwestern Maine (his hometown), where he worked as a consulting forester for ten years. In the spring of 2018 he made a decision to start his own consulting forestry business and Northwest Forest Management was born.

Being a forester isn’t just a job to Jesse, but a lifestyle due to his love for the woods, industry and what he does. From the time he could walk, he was out exploring the woodlot behind his parent’s house and always finding something new and interesting while out there. When thinking about degrees to major in and colleges to attend, he knew he wanted to do something based outdoors, but it wasn’t until his father suggested the forestry program at the University of Maine at Orono that he really thought about being a forester. After job shadowing a forester for a day, watching him mark wood, the decision was made to apply to UMO. He was accepted into the Forest Operations Science program beginning in the fall of 2003 and the rest is now history.

To best serve his clients, Jesse is licensed as a forester in both Maine (ME LPF #3588) and New Hampshire (NH LPF #428), a licensed wood scaler, certified Maine Stewardship Forester, NRCS Technical Service Provider, certified to write Maine Woodland Resource Action Plans (WRAP), an American Tree Farm Inspector, sits on the Maine Tree Farm Committee and is the Oxford County Tree Farm Chair.
