Jim is an ISA Certified Arborist who really enjoys working with trees and the people who own and care for them. He is also a Certified Landscape Professional. He has owned and managed Living Sculpture Tree Care, Inc., since starting the company in 1990.

He has a B.S. in Agronomy and an M.S. in Plant Pathology from North Dakota State University, as well as an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Jim is a lifetime member of the Minnesota Society of Arboriculture (president 2004 and 2005), a member of the International Society of Arboriculture, Tree Care Industry Association, Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association, National Arbor Day Foundation, Minnesota State Horticultural Society, and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
