John has been with the firm since 2012. He brings a rich background in business management and operations. Before attending law school, he worked in many different capacities at companies that he either started on his own or founded with partners. This diverse and unique background allows him to bring real world experience to better serve our client’s needs. Many attorneys consult for businesses without having any personal experience founding, running or selling a company. John also has a Master of Laws in Taxation. This advanced degree allows our clients to have an additional resource when faced with a tax decision or notification. Tax planning is an important part of business planning and is an area of law that permeates many facets of the legal profession. We are happy to have this added resource to offer to our clients. John attended Stanford University and graduated with a B.A. in psychology. While at Stanford, he played water polo and also had a short stint with the Stanford Band as a saxophone player. While attending the University of San Diego School of Law, John was a member of the International Law Journal, tutored both individual and corporate tax classes, and was awarded a Dean’s Scholarship for the Graduate Tax Program.
