Background and Education:
Jonathan Cluck is a 5th generation Texan who received a BBA from Baylor University Hankamer School of Business in 1981. He received his Juris Doctorate from St. Mary's University School of Law in 1987, and was licensed to practice law the same year.
Mr. Cluck joined Nunley, Jolley & Hill in 2001 as a general practitioner focusing primarily on general business matters, with a focus on business litigation, real estate litigation and estate litigation. He became a named Partner in Nunley Jolley Cluck Aelvoet, LLP in 2004 and is a member of The Nunley Firm.
Mr. Cluck has represented a variety of businesses, including banks, ranches, and new car dealers and made appearances before the Texas Motor Vehicle Board. He is a credentialed mediator with the additional family law mediation certification.
He has been licensed in the U.S. District Western District since 1989. In addition to the State Bar of Texas, Mr. Cluck is a Past President and member of the Kendall County Bar Association, and a member of The College of the State Bar of Texas. He is also a member of the Kerr County Bar Association and the San Antonio Bar Association. Mr. Cluck has served on the Fee Dispute Committee for the San Antonio Bar Association and the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee of the Supreme Court of Texas. He has been a member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel and the William B. Sessions Chapter of the American Inns of Court.
Mr. Cluck was named to the "Who's Who in American Law" in 1997. Gov. Rick Perry appointed Mr. Cluck as a public member for the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in 2011, where he serves the citizens of Texas on several committees. He is also active in the community as a member of the Alamo Kiwanis Club of San Antonio, former member of the Board of Directors of Respite Care of San Antonio, Germania Farmer's Verein-Anhalt (German civic organization dedicated to promoting agriculture and German heritage), the San Antonio Livestock Exposition, and serves as a Director of the Kendall County Sheriff's Advisory Board.
Mr. Cluck was born in San Antonio, Texas. He has received the Daniel Beard Masonic Scouter Award from the Masonic Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania and is the Past Master of Kendall Lodge 897 A.F. & A.M., and several Masonic organizations. Mr. Cluck is an Eagle Scout and Assistant Scoutmaster. Continuing his family's ranching heritage, he is an avid ranch/cowboy historian, chuck wagon cook and cowboy poet.
