JGC has played a key role in beautifying our city with flowers, plants and of course, jonquils as we are known as "The Jonquil City". Over the years members participated in garden events and flower shows at the old Rich's department store garden center that later became the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. We have continued our civic responsibilities with an annual plant sale which is a great opportunity to educate people about plants and gardening, actively participating in the King Springs School Garden Club and the North Georgia State Fair Flower Shows as clerks and judges as well as entering our flowers and vegetables and taking home lots of blue ribbons and Best in Show awards.
