California Certified Farmers’ Markets (CFM) are the “Real Thing,” places where farmers sell their crops directly to the public. Before a farmer can sell at a Certified Farmers’ Market, the farmer must obtain state certification that the farmer has grown the produce that he or she is selling. Elimination of packing, shipping and wholesale costs means both the farmer and consumer can save money. For information on certifying your farm, go to California Certified Farmers Market Program.
