The Lawrence County Farmers Market started out as just a small group of motivated producers who needed a place to bring their produce to the public. With the consent of the local Tractor Supply Store, this group formed a small pop up market on Saturdays in the store parking lot. After several years of growth the Lawrence County Commission saw the need for a permanently built farmers market structure. Built on county property, the market is located just on AL Highway 157 between the Lawrence County Department of Human Resources and the Tennessee Valley Stockyard/ Mel's Steakhouse.
