The L.E. Caldwell Company is owned by Todd Caldwell, a licensed Maine forester whose family has been making a living in the western Maine hills for quite a while. His business has combined forest biometrics, technology, decision analysis and walking through the woods looking at a lot of timberland and trees. Projects have included fiber supply agreements for million-acre properties, strategic harvest scheduling for some of the largest timberland ownerships in the United States, growth and yield models for discriminating land managers, and large-scale timber inventory projects and database application development. He enjoys working with people across different forest goal sets.
