Leif Riddervold is an Environmental Scientist who joined Virginia Forestry and Wildlife Group in 2012. He provides a wealth of experience in professional land and natural resource management to his clients, with a particular emphasis on integrating sustainable agriculture with natural systems.
Leif received his BS degree from James Madison University, which was followed by a MS degree in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia. Prior to joining Virginia Forestry and Wildlife Group he spent six years in the role of Natural Resources Manager for Bundoran Farm, a preservation development near Charlottesville Va. In this role he was responsible for managing 2,300 acres of forest, pasture and orchard land while also integrating minimal residential development into the landscape.
Leif is also an avid gardener and horticulturalist specializing in the use of native plants in the landscape. Much of his inspiration is the result of growing up on a farm that afforded ample land to explore and discover the natural wonders within the forests and fields, beginning a lifelong quest to understand the interrelationships between all elements of the system.
